So people keep asking 'hows it going?' 'how's life in florida?' 'whats new?'.... and the honest truth is not much. Bill and I and the menagerie (still holding at 4 dogs and two parrots) are pretty much the same as always.... we get up, we go to work, we come home, we play on the computer....we play with the dogs and get chewed on by the parrotts... thats pretty much our lives. I remember a few years ago when i graduated vet school having issues with 'is this it?, is this all there is?' I had finally graduated from school and it really felt like suddenly there was no goal in front of me, nothing to reach for...nothing to be studying for. I felt lost and confused and somewhat disapointed with it all.
so yeah...this is it... this is the american dream right? a house, a yard, a family (slightly furrier/feathery-er than usual)... but you know what? oddly enough if this is it? im cool with that.... life is good... life is relaxing. When i leave work i get to leave all of work at the office. i get to spend most of my free time hanging out with my best friend... There is very little drama in my day to day life and i love it. Im with someone who is as relaxed and laid back as I wish I could be. life is good...
i dont think im doing a very good job of expressing what im trying to say. I think mostly that im saying that my life is pretty booring right now and im finding that i really really like booring, no drama, and little excitement.
dunno that this is anything profound.... but its life
I'm in the same rut, but I have a goal ... work toward vacation!
